Seeing your best is vital to your everyday life. A regular eye and vision examination can help assure that your vision is doing well.

What is a Comprehensive Eye Exam?

This type of exam is an important part of preventative eye care. At your exam, your optometrist will not only update and check your prescription but will also assess your overall eye health.

Many eye and vision problems have no obvious signs or symptoms so you may not know you have an issue until it is found by your eye doctor. Early diagnosis and treatment of eye and vision problems can be imperative in helping prevent future vision loss. We recommend that you have a comprehensive eye exam on an annual basis.

What Makes Our Comprehensive Eye Exams Different?

The doctors at Redmond Eye Clinic utilize the latest in technology to provide you with the best possible eye care. During your comprehensive eye exam, we utilize the Heidelberg Spectralis Ocular Coherence Tomography (OCT). Results are immediate and reviewed with you by your doctor. This is not covered by insurance. You may still be dilated by your doctor depending on your symptoms and screening test results.

Eidon Retinal Screening Photos

Your doctor will also take Eidon Retinal Screening Photos. This screening photo is a permanent record of what your retina looks like today. It can facilitate early detection of many life-threatening diseases including macular degeneration, glaucoma, retinal detachment, high blood pressure, diabetic changes, ocular cancers, etc.

It is important to remember that retinal photos do not replace dilation. However, they do allow the doctor to see a still image that can be compared over time. Results are immediate and will be reviewed with you by your doctor. This is not covered by insurance. You may still be dilated by your doctor depending on your symptoms and screening test results.
